ABOUT

The International Foundation for Sonography Education and Research (IFSER) has a long history of providing grants, scholarships and products for the last 20 years. The purpose of these grants and scholarships is to expand educational opportunities for students entering the field and sonographers seeking to further their educations. Since our inception, we have:

  • Provided more than $500,000 in scholarship assistance
  • Developed educational products
  • Sponsored 7 professional awards
  • Awarded more than $100,000 in grants
  • Assisted in bringing ultrasound education to Vietnam physicians

Sonography is a dynamic, rapidly changing, and exciting profession sonography.  IFSER's International team is involved in bring ultrasound obstetric and gynecology education to physicians in Vietnam. IFSER's event team is currently preparing for IFSER first ever symposium being held in New Mexico in January. Check out our "Events" tab for more information.

IFSER continues to offer the SCAN® tool to help educators ensure excellence in clinical education.We also continue to develop educational products and tools. Our commitment to excellence in sonography, which has provided unequaled educational products for more than 20 years - makes us the preeminent choice for domestic and international ultrasound professionals seeking educational services.

MISSION STATEMENT

The International Foundation for Sonographic Education and Research is “Dedicated to improving access to quality education and information for the global sonographic community.”

We wish to make a positive contribution to increasing availability of healthcare through educating the global sonographic community with high quality educational product. By offering assistance to all who practice the science of ultrasound worldwide or who are engaged in ultrasound research, we can help advance the practice of this valuable medical technology to all in need.

Our vision statement:

To work together to advance diagnostic medical sonography and healthcare through education throughout the worldwide community.

Goals:

  • Provide high-quality educational assistance to those providing diagnostic medical sonography services
  • The development of on-site or remote, educational, or mentoring opportunities.
  • Product development assisting in educational growth of training providers.
  • Solicit input and collaborate with similar organizations to help improve patient care.
  • Settle for nothing less than the opportunity to help those who dream of working in the profession or strive to advance our profession worldwide.
