By popular demand, we will be modifying the agenda to 2 full days this year, all day Friday (July 28th) and all day Saturday (July 29th). IFSER is excited to offer you a fantastic 2-day lineup of engaging speakers, 13 CME's, applicable topics, and eager vendors at the 10th Annual Educator's Summit in New Orleans. We have something for everyone...from educators to clinician instructors and physicians. Keynote Speaker is Dr. Robert Harris
Robert Harris did his medical school at UVM College of Medicine, interned at McGill Univ. in Montreal, did his residency at Mass General Hospital in Boston and his body imaging fellowship at Univ. of Washington in Seattle. He was on staff at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center as director of ultrasound for 15 years (giving them a total of 28 years of service). He then worked in Rwanda thru the grant program Human Resources for Health the year of 2015-16, and has subsequently taken a staff position in body imaging section at the Univ. of Iowa. He is slated to return to Rwanda for 2 months in May 2017. He has developed a keen interest in providing ultrasound and radiology services in low resource settings over the last 15 years, and has worked in Serbia, Haiti, Vietnam, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Togo, French Congo, and most recently Rwanda. He is very interested in working with sonographers and educating physicians in these settings.
